We live in a world that is constantly changing; the subject of Chemistry is a discipline that is also subject to constant change. Chemicals are substances that are found in everything, and they exist in all matters. Anything that we can touch or see, or smell contains certain chemicals, in some form or the other. Some of these chemicals may be manmade but most of them occur naturally. Chemistry is a branch of Natural Science that studies these chemicals, observing the changes they undergo and the natural laws that describe these changes. The primary focus of Chemistry is to study atoms, ions, and molecules which in turn, make up elements and compounds. The field of science is broadly classified into physics, chemistry, and biology. Out of the three, chemistry is considered to be the central science. This is because it is that branch of science that does not deal only with the most basic elements of reality, such as fundamental particles, or the complex world of living organisms, rather it deals with the in-between world of atoms, molecules, and chemical processes. Chemistry is an extremely interdisciplinary subject as it is applied to many forms of life.

Employability

Chemistry is a fundamental science that affects our daily activities and everything around us. If you have a keen interest in studying the science behind substances and the reasons as to why such things occur, then this is the right choice of study for you. Chemistry is known as the central science because it brings together other disciplines like mathematics, physics, and environmental science. The study of chemistry is important as it provides a basis for understanding the universe that we live in. Chemists are especially needed in almost all industries as they are the ones that determine which chemicals are to be used to create products. Therefore, there are a plethora of job opportunities in this field.
